Wet scrubber and biofilter clean gas production

Environmental system/Environmental simulation

Extraction of the process exhaust air and cleaning via wet scrubber with high-performance centrifugal fan arranged on the clean gas side with outflow on the pressure side for further exhaust air cleaning in the biofilter system (biologically acting fixed bed reactor).

Collection of the cleaned biofilter exhaust air by a special axial fan and conveyance to the central clean air chimney.

Key data

  • Quantity

1 centrifugal fan NW 800, impeller diameter 1000 mm

1 axial fan NW 1000 mm

  • Performance data
Centrifugal fan: volume flow 35000 m³/h at a total pressure difference of 2660 Pa, drive power 45 kW, 1475

rpm. Axial fan: volume flow 40000 m³/h at a total pressure difference of 570 Pa, drive power 11 kW, 1470 rpm.

  • Particularities
The components of the centrifugal and axial fans that come into contact with the pumped media are made of stainless steel. The axial fan is designed with an internal, naturally ventilated motor that is separated from the pumped medium and is encapsulated. The aluminum axial impeller received a highly corrosion-resistant special coating.

  • Equipment/accessory assemblies
Equipment/ accessory assemblies: The fans are vibrationally decoupled from the ducts and foundations or steel construction.
